In this Funky Fluff review, find out more about the most versatile
cloth diaper brand we've found! With tons of premium features and loads
of flexibility - plus a price under $20, we love this functional (or
should I say "funktional"?) diaper!
Cloth Diaper Brand - Funky Fluff Fusion
Diaper Type - All in Two or Pocket
Overall Rating: ♥♥♥♥♥
What size did you purchase? - One-size (8 to 40 lbs)
Approximately how much did you pay for it? - $18 for stay dry and $20 for bamboo including two matching inserts!
In a word, versatility! Of all of the brands I've seen, Funky Fluff packs the most features into a single diaper. I really do think they thought of almost everything when they designed this diaper! Where were these diapers when I first started out??? I love that it has:
This
diaper runs true to size. That said, the size range for this one-size
diaper is awesome! With 4 levels of rise adjustments, cross-over snaps,
and a ton of waist adjustments, this truly is a one-size diaper! I
find that the Funky Fluff Fusion offers a very reliable fit (probably
best from 8 or 9 lbs), and it really can fit up to 40 lbs!
Yes, on a scale of 1 to 4 (with 1 being never, and 4 being absolutely!), I give the Funky Fluff Fusion a 4. If you're not sure you want to commit to either pockets or an AI2, this system offers you both options. I'm not 100% sure it would fit right from birth, but if you start cloth diapering later, this would be one of my top recommendations due to the flexibility it offers!
I
love that this diaper is designed in Canada, and would love to see it
produced domestically as well! That said, I've had experience with
other non North American made diapers, and this is by far one of my
favorites! This is not a cheaply made diaper, and I love the price tag
and the incredible value it offers with so many features included, and
quality control has been very tight!
The other thing I'm not a
huge fan of is the hip snaps. I didn't find them necessary, and they're
just one more thing to worry about when you're trying to attach a
diaper to a wiggly toddler.
Funky Fluff sells diapers directly from their online web store. You can also purchase them from Lagoon Baby. Funky Fluff also sells pail liners and double-pocket wet bags.

What do you love about this diaper? Its versatility! It can be used as an all-in-one, all-in-two, or pocket diaper - it's really the best of all worlds. It has an extra row of riser snaps, so it goes smaller than most one-size diapers, allowing it to be used from birth, and they included smaller and larger inserts (which are SUPER absorbent), really cover all the bases.
What would you change about this diaper? I honestly can't think of anything....
On a scale of 1 to 4, how likely would you be to recommend this diaper to a friend? (with 1 being never, and 4 being absolutely!): 4
Other comments: I liked this brand of diaper so much that I decided to start selling it myself - you can't get much happier with a diaper than that!

What do you love about this diaper? It's one of my go-to diapers, especially when I know I need my baby to be extra protected -- like when travelling or during the night.
What would you change about this diaper? Nothing, I like it as it is.

How do you think this diaper fits relative to other diapers or average? Generously sized (fits large)
What do you love about this diaper? The size range! My 28 lb 2 year old has plenty of room to spare. I am sure that a child well over 35 lbs can use this diaper. This diaper combines ALL of my favorite features that I look for in a One-size diaper : double gussets, natural fibers, one-size, two rows of waist snaps (with cross-over snaps), 4 rise snaps (versus 3, which most OS diapers have), super stretchy PUL for perfect fit, inserts that snap in on BOTH ends, what is there not to love?
What would you change about this diaper? I would love to see printed diapers and maybe an additional snap on top of the inserts so that if you need more that one, they all stay snapped together.
On a scale of 1 to 4, how likely would you be to recommend this diaper to a friend? (with 1 being never, and 4 being absolutely!): 4
Other comments: Definitely one of my FAVORITE cloth diapers! I honestly feel bad for not claiming that it is my absolute favorite because there is one other brand that I love just as much...but is it in my top 2 favorites! :-)

What do you love about this diaper? The options! And the fun colour. And the different colour snaps "belt" makes it easy for daddy so he doesn't snap the waist snaps on to the rise snaps.
What would you change about this diaper? Not much, it fits and works and looks cute!

What do you love about this diaper? I love the versatility of this diaper. I especially like the double gussets and the fact that in a really bad poop explosion that I don't Have to get my hands dirty digging the insert out - they really do agitate out, in both my old top load and my new front load washer.
What would you change about this diaper? The way the insert folds over does make it a touch bulky. Not sure what could be done about that - maybe sized inserts?

What do you love about this diaper? I love how convenient it is! And you can use it so many different ways!!
What would you change about this diaper? I won
this diaper in a giveaway before my daughter was born, and originally I
used it as an AI2 and my daughter's breastfed poop didn't stay in the
diaper at all. But since I started using it as a pocket it works much
better now. I think I would suggest putting gussets on the insert to help hold in the watery breastfed poops.
